We are seeking an experienced leader to join us as Head of Finance – Spain. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate reporting, driving performance through data-driven insights, and taking full ownership of finance in a lean, dynamic environment. We are looking for someone structured and proactive, who can navigate complexity and deliver results.

In this role, you will

  • Oversee consistent and efficient financial reporting: Deliver monthly and annual financial statements within tight deadlines, in accordance with local standards and Sanoptis Group principles. Onboard new entities, aligning processes and controls to Sanoptis standards. 
  • Define and communicate insights & actions: Synthesize results into salient points and proactively identify and investigate deviations in financial and operational performance. 
  • Develop and own business forecasts: Produce accurate bottom-up forecasts, aligned with Sanoptis' financial targets and business strategy. Collaborate closely with local operations to understand dynamics and develop plans that address challenges & identify opportunities. 
  • Leverage AI tools and systems in day-to-day finance work: Actively use AI tools (e.g. Claude) to streamline reporting, forecasting, and analysis. In collaboration with Group Finance, evaluate and adopt new systems to increase level of automation in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Manage treasury and liquidity: Implement efficient structures to forecast and optimize cash balances across Spanish entities, working closely with Sanoptis' Group Treasury team. 
  • Manage external stakeholders: Work in a lean setup and build relationships with a range of collaborators, including external accountants, local operations teams, Sanoptis' shareholding doctors, and banks. 

Your profile includes

  • At least 8 years of progressive work experience in finance roles, with a strong background in Controlling or Financial Planning & Analysis, ideally in a fast-paced, PE-backed buy-and-build environment. 
  • Previous experience in a leadership or senior role, comfortable working independently in a lean, small team environment. 
  • Direct experience in the production or audit of financial statements. A CPA or equivalent qualification is considered an asset. 
  • A history of full ownership over financial activities and a decisive approach to problem-solving. 
  • The ability to create, present, and communicate business and financial analysis at the executive level. 
  • Proficiency with AI tools (e.g. Claude) in a finance context is a strong plus; at minimum, a genuine enthusiasm for adopting new technologies. 
  • Native Spanish and business-fluent English (C1 or above).
